Valentin Topalov was born on February 10, 1949 in the town of Pernik. He graduated from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia in 1972. He has participated in many national and international art exhibitions. He is the author of over 40 solo exhibitions of paintings in Bulgaria and abroad. He has won numerous awards and prizes for painting. His works are in the possession of many private collections in Bulgaria, Europe and the United States.
