Vasil Stoev: ''Francisco's dream II''

The artist was able to express a cheerful and joyful feeling of light and festivity only by means of a pure plastic language - lines, colors, shapes and general composition. The expressiveness and the effect of the image have been achieved thanks to a skillful directing of the elements among themselves, as well as, to the orchestration and harmonization of all means of expression in one organic unit. It seems, the author has been following a view of the great Henri Matisse who believed the expression was neither in the expression of the faces nor in the plot of the painting but in the organization of painting’s plastic elements.
