Vasil Stoev: ''Composition II''

The name of the painting suggests that all possible references to nature and the visible world have been eliminated. The pictorial organism is built as an autonomous, independent whole, which seeks to influence the viewer only by combining the expressive means of painting - lines, planes, spots, silhouettes, colors and shapes. The alternation of regular, geometrically or semi-geometrically shaped planes with irregular, diffusive and internally diverse in size and tone, small sections of the painting field, creates a sense of diversity and dynamics.
