Valentin Savchev: ''Fish II''

The interpretation of the fish motif is based on a contrasting comparison between the linear structure and the central core of the composition. The linear structure outlines the shape and plays the role of a kind of drawing in space. The central core of the composition is a body built as a compressed plastic mass of small pieces placed to one another. The effect in the perception of the work is enhanced by the diverse texture of the metal and the different degrees of polishing and consolidation of the individual surfaces.
