Boyko Mitkov ''From the cycle "Stored time III"

Against the background of a square object, built with correct geometric proportions and inscribed in a relief frame, there is a metal fragment that resembles a part of a human body. Here, as in a number of other works the author seeks to enhance the figurative impact of the work through the contrast between the architectural construction and the organic form. The body seems to preserve the traces of the pictorial principle inherent in traditional classical sculpture. This comparison is complemented by the different treatment, as a matter and as a color accent in the treatments of the various metals of the square and of the fragment.
